Take Me Away, Country Roads

Almost heaven, Ann Arbor?

It's safe to say that I'm relieved that Coach B was not among the top three choices to replace Lloyd Carr as head football coach at Mighty Michigan. That said, Rich Rodriguez will bring the vaunted spread offense to Ann Arbor and provide new wrinkles not witnessed at the Big House since the days of Fielding Yost. Jim Tressel and the rest of the Big Ten be warned, for Rodriguez will work with talent beyond what he assembled at WVU, who was a Pittsburgh loss from the BCS title game this season.

Must be tough for the hillbillies in the Blue Ridge Mountains as it grooms coaches for a superior league on both the gridiron and the hardwood. Better them than Bucky. Let's hope that Coach B and Bo stay in Madison until they retire, and continue to beat up on the whore that is Ann Arbor.

P.S. With the $4 million buyout, the university should buy sets of false teeth for the entire state. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't be using a toothbrush each morning.
