Bucky Sparkles in Crystal Ball
The Badgers continue to attract prime-time coverage during their record-breaking season. HBO plans to record a "Real Sports" segment focusing on Alando Tucker and Coach Ryan, while ABC's "Free Ticket" will follow the basketball Badgers for a two-week period.
I must say that I'm a little disappointed that UW slipped behind OSU in the polls, but with 7 regular season and 3 potential BT tournament games remaining Bucky has an excellent opportunty to even the score. The road to the BT title likely travels through Columbus, and
seeing that the Buckeyes held serve in East Lansing the Badgers must do the same for a shot at the regular season championship on Feb. 25th in Columbus.
As much as a conference title means to us fans and the team, a top spot in the Dance and a deep run is our ultimate goal. Bucky is still poised to grab a #1 seed, even with a loss in Columbus. This would require them to win the balance of their games and the BT Tournament. A loss in East Lansing and/ or an early exit from Chicago would make a 2 or 3 seed more likely.

I have always said that the regular season polls are meaningless, but I am confused as to how OSU can be ranked above the Badgers and UNC after the Buckeyes lost to both teams and has an equal or worse record than UW and UNC.
A 3 seed would require a complete collapse by the Badgers.
I need to post on this but thanks to RCN our cable has been out for a week.
Anyways, 4 wins or less and the Badgers have a 90% shot at being a 1 seed. 5 wins and its about a 40% shot. Look at everyone else in the top 10 other than Florida and OSU: each team lost at least once in the last 2 weeks. The Badgers need to stay ahead of all but one of the following teams to grab a 1 seed:
OSU
UNC
A&M
Kansas
Pitt
Kansas and A&M will each probably drop one more reg season game and play each other in their tourney
UNC is good for a bad loss every 3 weeks and play Duke and MD this week
Pitt still has to go to Marq and navigate the Big East tourney. And, oh yeah, the Badgers kicked their ass earlier this year.
So the chances of a 1 seed are still strong as long as Wisconsin wins the next 4 and the home game vs MSU.
Of course by "Wins" i meant "losses"
Just like the game of basketball, I think that games always comes down to the last two minutes...the standings...come down to the last two weeks!
